SID: Hello Sid Roth your investigative reporter here with Doug Jones, and I will tell you what if you put a string on me I am going to fly. The presence of God is strong on this set right now that I absolutely believe that all things are possible to those that believe. Doug, you are talking about keys that are so important but you told me a story when I interviewed you on the radio; that you know sometimes oatmeal would stick to your ribs.
DOUG: Yes,
SID: This has stuck with me and I know that you were very close with Doctor Kenneth Hagin who is now in heaven. And he tells a story actually it was never published it was in an unpublished manuscript that you had read that meant so much to me, please tell us that.
DOUG: He talks about a little, a little child that was brought to him in a prayer line both feet were clubbed feet, both feet were deformed. And the child was brought into the prayer line and so Brother Hagin has been praying for the sick and actually had a blind woman that had been blind for three years, actually be healed through that prayer line. And so after that prayer line was over with Brother Hagin took that little child and actually took those clubbed feet actually put him in his hands, and laid hands upon those clubbed feet and prayed. And went ahead and prayed the prayer of faith, and believed that they received, and what happened was he opened up his hands and both feet are still the same, both feet are clubbed feet he went ahead and laid his hands upon those feet one more time, praying and looked up and told the couple, I am telling you I have a stronger anointing right now to minister to these clubbed feet then I did with the blind woman who was healed out there in front ago.
SID: And yet the clubbed feet are the same.
DOUG: And yet the clubbed feet are the same. That healing power was administered to this child’s body that healing power was administered I know it I felt it go out of my hands. That healing power actually went out of my hands into these child’s clubbed feet. And he said these words to him, keep the switch of faith turned on, every time you think of it say the healing power of God was ministered Thursday night to our child’s feet. And it is in there working mightily.
SID: But what do most people do, they say oh the clubbed feet are still there, I guess it didn’t work; I got to find another healing line.
DOUG: That is exactly right, but Brother Hagin said keep the switch of faith turned on, it’s the first time that I can find were he uses that phrase. And he defines it, and the definition of the switch of faith is the belief that the power has been ministered and that it is working mightily. And for years Brother Hagin has used that phrase “Keep the switch of faith turned on.” “Keep the switch of faith turned on.” He would use it after praying for the sick. Well what is the switch of faith, he said it every time you think of it say the healing power of God has been ministered to these feet and is in there working mightily. So they went home and they did just what Brother Hagin told them to do and about a week later they had brought the child back to the church, brother Hagin had already gone his way, gone to another meeting but they had brought the child back to the church were brother Hagin had prayed for them showed the child, both feet were completely normal. They were healed, simply because they kept the switch of faith turned on.
SID: How easily they could of stopped.
DOUG: Yes sir,
SID: And literally aborted the seed that healed the anointing that is what we are praying for, that healing anointing to come inside of us.
DOUG: And it is anointing, it is the healing power of God. That is what it is and it is ministered every time someone lays hands upon you. Because obedience always releases the power any time, any time you have a promise…
SID: Does it matter whether it is a Doug Jones that lays hands on you, or John Q. Christian next door?
DOUG: No it does not. That is my point any time anyone acts upon the word of God anytime anyone acts upon a…
SID: It doesn’t matter if I take my hand and put it on myself.
DOUG: It does not matter; it does not matter. You are acting on a promise, and the moment you act on a promise the healing power is always released there is power contained with every promise there is life contained in every promise his word is full of power and life and every time you act on a promise, then the power or the life within the promise is released within your life. That is the reason why when Peter acted on the word come and stepped outside that boat he is acting on a promise and the moment he stepped out he is releasing the power with the word come. And it has such power that it can defy the laws of nature and all of a sudden Peter steps out onto that water and he’s got solid out from underneath his foot; simply because he acted on the word of God. Any time you act on the word of God, power is always released
SID: Okay I am going to have you in a moment pray the prayer of faith for the sick. Let’s assume that some people instantly have miracles and they will.
DOUG: And that is fine.
SID: And let’s assume that some people don’t; what should they say…
DOUG: Keep the switch of faith turned on.
SID: Again how?
DOUG: I believe that the power is in my body and I believe it is working mightily. See the Bible says Jesus says that we are to believe to receive.
SID: Every time you have a doubt you should be saying that out loud or?
DOUG: Yes sir, out loud yes sir. And that is a huge issue we cannot win the battle of the mind by being silent we must use our mouth and it is time we start using our mouth when it comes to those doubts. Nope the Bible says they shall lay hands upon the sick and they shall recover. I believe that I recovered, I believe that I received, I believe that the healing power of God is in my body is working mightily and we are saying that until we are satisfied with the fruit produced. And it doesn’t matter whether it takes two weeks, two days, two hours, it does not matter.
SID: What about two years?
DOUG: You stay true to your beliefs.
SID: Okay have I got some news for you, Doug is going to pray this supernatural prayer of faith in just a moment when we come back.
