Sid: I’ve got a man that’s red hot for the Messiah I’m speaking to him at his office in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dave Roberson, he’s Senior Pastor of Family Prayer Center there. And I’ve had Dave as guest several times on the Messianic Vision because as a big believer he found out about the supernatural edification that comes from praying in tongues. And literally decided that was his job when the factory whistle would blow he would go to his prayer closet and he’d take his lunch break just like the factory people and then he’d go back to prayer. And he did this as a lifestyle when most people go to work and found that his spirit man started growing and growing and that he was passing many people that had started out the same time as him because of the time that he spent praying tongues. However he found there were certain ceilings in his life. There were certain problems in his flesh that just weren’t getting changed from day to day and month to month and even to year to year. And God led him into something for him which was new which revolutionized his life which is why I’m asking him to share on this is that many of you have ceilings in your life.  You’re kind of stuck at one level and you’ve never gotten beyond that and many of you are not having your prayers answered. Many of you know that you don’t have the intimacy with God that you want.  And you want all of these things but it’s just not happening and I believe what Dave was led into is going to revolutionize your life. Dave how did you find out about this supernatural way of moving into new levels with God?

Dave: Sid it’s good to be back on your program I can feel the Holy Ghost so strong all ready that it gives me it gives me a joy that I can’t even explain and a peace. And as a result of being hungry for God in the early days I was 30 years old and the hunger that comes from the new nature inside just wanting to know God. And the time we talked I talked about a vision that I had that caused me to leave my job and lock myself up and pray just like you was talking about in the introduction. I prayed and prayed and prayed and it built my spirit up and since these years have went by I found out that praying in tongues is a revelation gift it’s literally a revelation gift. The more that I pray in tongues the more of the mysteries of Christ that I understand by discerning them spiritually. But the more I prayed in tongues the more hungry I became for God and I didn’t I didn’t know anything about fasting hardly. I read some books by some of the old timers that talked about fasting and I would get excited about it but I still didn’t know how fasting worked. I didn’t know the role that it really really played in my life sometimes I stand up and talk about it and say “You know I don’t know what going without eating you know has to do with the power of God but the word of God says that it does.” And so I really didn’t know I had read some of these books and things but the more that I continued to pray the hungrier I got.  And so I decided to attempt some of the fasting that these men were talking about because I was just so hungry for God. I didn’t understand at that time how that it literally dealt with my flesh. So I thought fasting, you know I thought the role that it played was God was pleased with my personal sacrifice. Like the more that I would fast the more He was pleased with me loving Him enough to sacrifice and to go without eating.  And so I would literally in those early days I would literally fast on feast days you know like Thanksgiving.

Sid: That was quite a sacrifice.

Dave: Well I thought that it was the sacrifice that pleased God.

Sid: Hmm.

Dave: Why don’t I just put it on a day that would really please Him on Thanksgiving and even Christmas sometimes. I can remember one Thanksgiving that I was going down to a little store that stayed open to pick up some seasoning for my wife. And after a couple of days fasting where I could smell everybody’s turkey cooking I mean walking down the street. I was so hungry I could just…I could just smell everything my senses was heighten. And so I decided to fleece God which is you know you put out something for God to do or something to happen so you’ll know whether or not to do something. So I went into this little store that stayed open on the holiday and I fleeced God I made it as hard as I could because I really wanted to go home and eat some turkey you know.

Sid: I can understand (Laughing).

Dave: I was so hungry but I fleeced and made it so hard I said “Father God if you want me to continue this fast and again I say continue this fast I want you to have the lady that runs this store that owns it to give me something to eat and I’ll take it as a sign that You want me to go on fasting but if the lady in the store does not give me anything to eat then I’m going to go home and break this.” And I thought I was really safe because she had never in the years that I lived in Oregon she had never given me anything going down to the store.

Sid: Well I would call that a legitimate fleece (Laughing).

Dave: I think I was really really safe (Laughing). So I went in there and I picked up the items for the seasoning and I laid them on the counter and I’m thinking I’m going to make it I’m going to make it. I laid them on the counter and then she tallied them calculated them up. And so hey I picked the bag up just as quick I could and headed towards the door and I almost got out of the door and she said “Excuse me” she said “But I just cooked these rolls and I brought them out here and I’d just like you to have one of these rolls” (Laughing).

Sid: (Laughing).

Dave: (Laughing) and I stopped and I slowly turned around in unbelief (Laughing) I could not believe that she had done that. And so slowly I turned and slowly I looked back and I can tell you Sid it was really hard for me to feel appreciative you know but I thanked her. And I knew that I had to continue on with the fast but later on my question to God became “If it’s not the sacrifice, if it’s not the sacrifice that’s pleasing You Father God, then what is fasting I mean what role does fasting really play?” I literally believed that my fasting moved God.

Sid: I have to tell you something in the early years I would fast and I would then just say to myself “Well God has done something I can’t see it but I’m sure God I expected in the early years to have a visitation by an angel, a visitation by Jesus, I mean all of these spectacular things but although I never spoke about it I was disappointed because I thought when you fast the supernatural of God shows up.

Dave: That’s what…see some of the old books and things and it’s not that He didn’t at times but that’s what I was looking for too at times in man of God’s lives.  See I thought my fasting was moving God but as I continued to pray in the Holy Ghost revelation gift you know and things began to unfold I found that He’s not the one that was stuck.

Sid: Hmm.

Dave: You know like in Isaiah 58 he said they fasted that their voice be heard on high. But fasting does not cause God to hear your voice on high but it does move you into a place to hear His voice on low.

Sid: Hmm.

Dave: Because He’s already finished the work and He was not the one stuck so my fasting did not move Him it moved the one that had the problem which was me. And fasting if a person classifies it as works or anything but nothing replaces the grace that you and I was saved by not by works that any man should boast. So my fasting couldn’t move God into doing something that He had already done in redemption.  But what it did do is it moved my flesh into a position that’s been provided for it which is debt. When I was born again it actually enforced the victory over my flesh and it put my flesh in the position that Jesus said in Romans 8 and 10 “That if Christ be in you My Spirit is life.”  It didn’t say alive the people that are in hell are alive. He said “My Spirit is life” it’s entered into the Zoe, God kind that’s seated in heavenly places with Him alive. But the same verse that declared my spirit alive declared my body dead because of sin mean. What I inherited from first man Adam my body was still capable of sinning. But the same way that praying in tongues and worship and speaking His word enforces the grace and the position my spirit’s been declared which is alive. Fasting enforces the positional truth that our flesh has been declared which is dead. And if the flesh is ceiling the life that’s in your spirit or your walk with God if it’s put a ceiling over your life it can’t seem to break through. Fasting doesn’t move God but it does begin to move your flesh into that position that’s been provided for it until you get your glorified body.

Sid: You know I was speaking to a friend of mine who said he went for Christian psychology and it was helpful but he just couldn’t get the victory in certain areas and did I have a suggestion?

SID: There are, let’s call them symptoms of spiritual attacks. Tell us a few that we might not even think of. You mentioned one to me that I never even thought about it: loneliness.

RYAN: Loneliness. The enemy plays a real trick on people’s minds in their loneliness, delayed promises. You know, there is a kairos time for every prophetic promise and Galatians talks about. “We will reap if we faint not.” Well the enemy tries to weary us, that we give up on the promise. You were talking earlier about a prophetic promise in your own life. Sometimes there’s a passing of time. Confusion about purpose is another attack. People get confused about what am I supposed to do? Do you know a spiritual attack can actually create physical fatigue and exhaustion. Elijah was under the juniper tree and couldn’t wake up. He was under an attack of heaviness. So there’s many, many symptoms and if you can identify the symptoms you can recognize the attack. That’s a key.

SID: You told me you were at a major ministry and you were explaining these principles and then, and this is a large ministry. These are really quality people. And they came up to you, members of this ministry, and what did they say?

RYAN: They said, “When I hear you describe these symptoms I have the majority or several of them said, “I have every single symptom and I had no idea I was under an attack. Will you pray and break it.” And we started praying and breaking it, and that breaker anointing, that Micah 2:13 breaker anointing came into that room and God started setting those people free.

SID: Is it difficult? Was it difficult for, I mean, you did so much junk before you were a believer, as I did, too, as many of you did. Was it difficult for you to get free once you were desperate and you wanted to be?

RYAN: No, it wasn’t, Sid. And here’s the thing. The Bible says where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. And you know as you’re talking I just feel right now the power of the Holy Ghost coming to set people free. It’s not hard for you to get set free. I see people with attacks of confusion. I see somebody with the spirit of fear that you’re fearful to leave your house. I believe ever here in the studio audience people are under attack. Someone has a frozen shoulder. There’s a spirit of infirmity. Your shoulder can’t move. It’s being healed right now. Somebody else, your neck, you had an injury and they fused something together. The Lord is miraculous healing your neck. I want to pray for you. I want to ask the audience at home and here to lift your voice right now and begin to cry out to the Lord. Come on, lift your voices and begin to cry out to the Lord right now. Father, I thank you for that Micah 2:13 breaker anointing. I break the spirit of fear. I command the spirit of fear to loose people. I command the spirit of pain and infirmity to loose people. I command deafness to loose people. Somebody that their left side has not been restored after a stroke, I release the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ on your left side. I say receive a miracle right now. I break confusion, prophets that are confused. I break that spirit of confusion. I say you will and you shall prophesy with clarity. I release that breaker anointing now. In the name of Jesus, be free right now. In Jesus’ name, shout to the Lord with a voice triumph. Hallelujah!

SID: You know, some of you may be thinking, well if I could just get a hold of those two guys and they would set me free, if the King of the Universe lives inside of you, Jesus the Messiah, if you have repented of your sins and been born from above, you are qualified to cast out demons, pray for the sick, speak in new tongues. Give me a break. There’s millions of people that are going to need your help shortly and God has chosen you. Now what are you going to do about it?

SID: You know, you made a brilliant profound statement. You said if you can recognize a spiritual attack you can conquer it, as if to say, many people don’t even recognize it.

RYAN: Absolutely. This is one of the critical things that I preach on this and teach on this. It’s in the book. But it’s half the battle, Sid, because here’s what people find and they tell me. They say, I’m just going through this thing and I don’t know how I got here. I’m having a blue Monday. I’m having a bad day. But do you know, a spiritual attack is multi-prong. The devil doesn’t just come after your mind. He comes after your mind, after your marriage, after your finances and the ultimate goal is to separate you from destiny. One of the strongest, greatest revelations we can have is what we were put on Planet Earth to do and the anointing, the power of the Holy Spirit is attached to our destiny. So if the enemy gets us separated from destiny, he gets us separated from the power, and if we’re separated from the power we’re empty. So we recognize an attack and that step one to breaking it, it’s not random. It’s coordinated and it’s got an intention to shipwreck your faith, to get you so discouraged you don’t believe in God anymore, to get you so discouraged you forgot about the prophetic words. You forgot about the promises and many people even watching this today, this is what they’re going through. They’re under a cloud of heaviness. They’re under depression. They’ve got fear of leaving their own home. They’re under financial attack. But if they look deeper, they’re also giving up on the call of God. They’re giving up on the plan of God. The devil is not just after your money. He’s not just after your car. He’s not just after your child. He’s after your destiny and your assignment as a child of God.

SID: Well if that man had not gone to the jail and led him to the Lord, what you’re about ready to hear could not have happened. He’s in Belize, Central America, and he’s ready to speak, and he hears the voice of God. What did God tell you?

RYAN: Well the first great miracle I ever saw was in America and it was a blind lady being healed. So I’m in Belize, I’m getting ready to minister, and the Lord says, “Don’t preach. Tell a story.” Now you know, Jesus can do more with a story than all of our revelation, and revelation accesses faith, and faith moves the substance of Heaven into Earth. So faith moves healing into Earth. Faith moves victory into Earth. Faith moves the angelic realm into Earth. But revelation is the stairway into faith. What is revelation? It’s understanding what God is saying. So God says to me, “Don’t preach. Tell a story. Tell the story of the first miracle you ever saw.” So I’m telling the story about this blind lady, and in the middle of it, Sid, out of spirit it hits my mouth before my brain can understand it. I say, “And tonight, God is going to heal the blind.” So that night there is a young lady, she’s blind, she’s never seen in her entire life. She got some type of fever type of thing as an infant. It destroyed her eyes. She’s got an empty eye socket and a white eyeball. She comes to the front to receiver her miracle and the voice of God says plainly to me, “She’s going to see.” So I’m praying, but I don’t close my eyes, Sid, because I want to see God paint a pupil and put in a new eyeball. So I’m watching and nothing that I can see happens. But remember what the Lord said. The Lord said she’s going to see, but she’s still got while eyeball with no pupil and an empty eye socket. So honestly, I’m not sure if she’s seeing or not. And so I say to her, “I want you to follow me.” And we look at her to figure out what is she seeing out of? Do you know what? She saw out of the white eyeball.

Woman: I can see! I can see! Thank you, Jesus. I can see!

RYAN: Then she covers the white eyeball. How many fingers do you see? She props open an empty socket and she’s seeing out of the empty socket.

Woman: I see two. I can see! Oh my God, I can see!

SID: Wait a minute, that’s impossible. You can’t see out of an empty socket unless God is real, unless all things are possible. Guess what? God is real. All things are possible. Now in the Bible, we talk about people, we read about people that have nothing. Our whole world is falling apart. Tell me very briefly about when that happened to David.

RYAN: The enemy has one opportunity with us and it’s deception. He’s been crushed, he’s been defeated, he’s been dethroned and we have been given all power, all authority. But if he can get us to believe he has authority then we give him authority. And so he deceives us. He makes us think, well this is happened to you because you’re out of the will of God. David is in [unintelligible] in the will of God, comes home, family guy, house is burned, and suddenly, Sid, the people turn on him. See, in a spiritual attack the devil hits you on all sides and David all of a sudden says, “Bring me an ephod.” Now listen to this. He says, “I’m not going to forget who I am. Bring me that garment of identity.” A spiritual attack comes to separate you from your identity and one of the things you need to do to get free from an attack is remind yourself of who God said you are. Get those prophetic words out. You keep on preaching. You keep on prophesying. You keep on marketplace ministering. You keep on raising your children, whatever God has called you to do. In the midst of an attack you wrap yourself in that ephod and you square your shoulders up for battle and say, I am who God says I am, and that’s what David did.

SID: Okay. When we come back I want him, this will amaze you. I want him to identify some areas that perhaps you’re under spiritual attack and then I want him to tell us how we can get free. Be right back.
