Our Guest Adrian Beale & Adam Thompson
SID ROTH: Hello, Sid Roth here with Something More, and I’ve got two guests from; they’re the closest I’ve ever gotten to Australian, that’s where they’re from. Adam Thompson and Adrian Beal, and Adam, I found out by just talking to you for a few minutes, you are very, very prophetic. But were you prophetic before that car accident?
ADAM THOMPSON: No, I wasn’t. I was a bit of a wild child, and I was brought up in a Christian home, but I lost my way. I didn’t really you know, I didn’t really know anything about God. But I was, you know I got caught up in the wrong crowd. I was pretty messed up.
SID: Okay, you had this accident, tell me about it.
ADAM: Well, I came home from a party with a friend of mine called John, and I did a stupid thing, drink, and driving. And as I was driving home on a cold night in Adelaide, Australia, driving home, I was pretty drunk where I was seeing two of everything—
SID: Mm
ADAM: In Aussie terminology, I was “Legless”. But when I was driving in the car, it was so cold. I was—
SID: I have to remember that, I don’t think I’ll use it.
ADRIAN BEALE: [laughs]
ADAM: [laughs]
SID: [laughs] That’s an interesting term, I’m pondering it; “Legless”, okay [laughs] how do you drive “Legless”? No, never mind—go ahead.
ADAM: [laughs] It’s just an Aussie terminology, [music] but I was driving, and it was a cold night. The windows were foggy, and then all of a sudden these mud flaps of this big truck came out of nowhere. Bang, I just hit and went under a truck. And we totally road off the car, and we were sort of trying to work our way out of the car. [music ends] but I was so drunk, and the truck driver knew that I was intoxicated, and he called the cops. And there was a scene of police and it was a real mess. So, I knew I was in a lot of trouble, I knew that I probably would be arrested and put in jail. My friend was intoxicated as well. But I went off as there was police everywhere and it was a big scene. I went off a little bit on the side, [music] and I started praying. And my friend John Pedy said to me, “What are you doing?” And I said, “I’m praying and I’m asking God to get me out of this. And if he does, I’m going to commit my life to him.”
SID: If he didn’t get you out what would have happened?
ADAM: Well, if he didn’t get me out of it, I probably would have been arrested, probably incarcerated, in prison for a short time, and then I would have [music ends] lost my license for about two months. And I would have had that on my record.
SID: Okay, so you prayed; and what happened?
ADAM: So I prayed and the police officer came to me and wanted me to breath in the breathalyzer to test my breath. And I was trying hard to not be drunk, trying to act sober. And (music) I blew in this machine and my heart was racing, it was the adrenalin. And he went up to the streetlight the machine, and it was, completely zero, completely negative. And the police officer said to me, “You’re free to go.” And I was stunned, so that following week on Sunday, [music ends] and I went to Church and responded to the altar call. I gave my heart to God.
SID: But I have to ask you just briefly, when did you start having your prophetic gift activated?
ADAM: Well, I had this encounter in my living room, probably 10 years after my decision for Christ. I became a workaholic [music] and I was a businessman. And I had this encounter with the Lord. The Lord appeared to me in my living room, and he asked me. And I didn’t really know the Scriptures that well back then because I was so lukewarm with my faith and coming home late at night. Everybody was asleep, and I was pretty tired, but the Lord appeared to me in the living room. And he asked me, “What do you want me to do for you?” Because I was frustrated and I was angry, and I was doubting God. And he said, “What do you want me to do for you?” And I was speechless at the time, but I was thinking about it, and I said to the Lord, “Give me wisdom, all I want is wisdom.” And I cried out to the Lord for wisdom, but what happened, a long story short. I had this encounter and this impartation of the Spirit of God. I became revived within, and out of this encounter, I started to see things. I started to understand people’s dreams. [music ends] I started to walk along the street, and I could see what’s wrong with a person. And sometimes I knew their name. The cafeteria girl, I would know her name and what’s wrong with their life.
SID: Mm
ADAM: And this just came upon me, impartation when the Lord stood before me in the living room.
SID: That is fascinating. We could talk the whole Something More about this.
ADAM: There’s a lot more to it, yes.
SID: I’m sure. Adrian, the brief story about how you came to the Lord.
